McMurdo SmartFind S5A

McMurdo SmartFind S5A - Search and Rescue Radar Transponder (AIS SART). The new AIS SART is a cost-effective alternative to the traditional SART radar and replaces previous McMurdo AIS SART models and has a long detection range.

AIS-SART has a built-in GPS and transmits a warning message along with the ship ID and GPS position through the AIS (Automatic Identification System) tracking system

SART is part of the GMDSS essential equipment required for all commercial ships weighing more than 300 tons, however many ships less than 300 tons and pleasure boats also prefer to have SART for increased safety.

The safe battery has a shelf life of six years and allows SmartFind S5A to continuously transmit data for more than 96 hours.

The McMurdo SmartFind S5A AIS SART is easy to use and deploy, and the floating bag can be wall mounted or packaged in a liferaft. It is equipped with a shoulder strap, which makes it easy to carry in case of emergency evacuation.
