Transmitter Tron AIS-SART is fully compliant with SOLAS. Working range Tron AIS-SART 7 to 10 nautical miles from the vessels with equipment installed AIS class A, and more than 40 nautical miles from the avionics AIS receiver.
 
Defendant Jotron Tron AIS-SART is buoyant, but to get the best performance, it should be placed in an upright position, and as high as possible in order to achieve maximum coverage.
