The Raytheon Standard 22 gyrocompass is a compact device designed to operate in harsh marine conditions. It is equipped with the function of displaying data on the angular velocity of the vessel and complies with the standards of the International Maritime Organization for displaying this data on the automatic identification system (AIS). The gyrocompass is equipped with a large number of input connectors, including 12 RS-422 interfaces. In case of power failures or in the operation of the gyrocompass itself, an audible alarm is activated.
