MKT 75/260

MKT 75/260 - is a pneumatic Typhon, designed to work on vessels in length from 20 to 75 meters. These are fishing, boats, passenger ships and boats, yachts and ferries. The sound pressure level of 130 dB, i.e. 1/3 octave band. Meets COLREG 1972 IMO Resolutions and regulations of COLREG-72, the installation of Typhon on ships longer than 12 meters. MKT 75/260 is equipped with a pneumatic actuator.

MKT 75/260 is well recognizable sharp sound that provides an effective warning of the crew on board. Despite the sound characteristics, it is very important to ensure correct placement of Typhon, that nothing prevented the spread of the sound wave. Even a large deck surface may undesirably affect the propagation of sound like a well-known phenomenon of refraction of light waves. Also, it is necessary for safety reasons and permissible sound levels at the observation post of the ship. The best solution - this combined system with a siren frequency difference of at least 10 kHz which must be installed in accordance with the IMO.
