Floating smoke bomb "COMET"
Floating smoke bomb "COMET" is a compact device in the form of a can for the delivery of a distress signal during the day. In addition, it serves to determine the location and direction of the wind during the rescue operations. Smoke gum produces dense orange smoke for at least 3 minutes.
According to the requirements of SOLAS, life rafts and boats are necessarily equipped with floating smoke bombs.
