Koden KGC-1
The Koden KGC-1 is an advanced GPS compass with dual GPS antennas and a remote processor that seamlessly integrates with navigation instruments via the NMEA protocol to transmit ship heading data. This compass is certified by the Maritime Register and is intended for use as the main navigation equipment on ships with a gross tonnage of less than 500 tons, as well as as additional equipment on ships with a gross tonnage of more than 500 registered tons.
Features of Koden KGC-1:
- High course accuracy: KODEN's phase measurement technology provides a 1 RMS course accuracy.
- Quick Start: The course data is available approximately 2 minutes after switching on.
- Multifunctional: In addition to course data, the compass displays information about the coordinates and speed of the vessel.
- Low maintenance costs: Does not require regular inspection and maintenance.
Application and compatibility:
- Radars: Provides accurate course data for Automatic Tracking (ATA) and Automatic Target Tracking (ARPA) radars.
- Autorouting systems: Provides high precision control of the vessel when connected to the autorouting.
- Integration with other systems: The course data can be used in satellite TV systems, AIS and electronic maps.
Using additional devices:
- ECI-1 indicator: For convenient data display, you can use the universal digital repeater MTRD-104, which supports the NMEA 0183 protocol and is equipped with a graphical LCD display.
- Reception frequency: 1575.42 MHz ± 1 MHz.
- Number of reception channels: 9 parallel channels.
- Course accuracy: 1 RMS.
- Positioning accuracy: GPS: 15 m (2DRMS, SA = OFF, PDOP ≤ 3).
- Speed accuracy: 1 m/sec (RMS, SA = OFF, PDOP ≤ 3).
- Output data: RS-422.
Dimensions and weight:
- GPS antenna GA-11: 160 (H) x 593 (W) x 150 (D) mm, weight 1.4 kg.
- KGC-1 processor unit: 85 (H) x 220 (W) x 245 (D) mm, weight 1.2 kg.
- Power supply: 10.8 to 31.2 V DC.
- Power consumption: Less than 8 watts at 24 VDC.
