Thrane&thrane SAILOR Sart II
SAILOR SART II - search and rescue radar transponder (SART) is the primary means of detection saving appliances in the GMDSS. Receiving radar pulses from the standard (9 Hz to 3 cm), SART transmits a signal identifying a vessel in distress on the radar screen as a series of 12 points located at equal distance from each other in the radial direction on the location of the defendant. After activation SAILOR SART II remains on standby at 96 o'clock and 8 o'clock in the transmit mode.
