Furuno FR-8255

Furuno FR-8255 is a highly efficient radar for ships, which is designed for operation on various marine vessels (except passenger ones) with a gross tonnage of up to 300 registered tons. The device is RMRS certified.

The radar is equipped with the True Trail Mode function, which allows you to display moving objects (ships) with a colored trail, which helps determine their direction. This function is activated when location and direction data are available. Furuno FR-8255 also supports displaying AIS data and tracking targets when connecting the appropriate equipment.

The radar design uses modern digital signal processing, which makes it easier to detect targets in all weather conditions, including adverse ones. There is also a technology for suppressing interference from the sea and precipitation.

The device includes a bright color display and an open-type antenna with an output power of 25 kW. The antenna is available in two versions: with rotation at a speed of 24 or 48 revolutions per minute (for high-speed vessels). The wide viewing angle and high-quality 12.1-inch display ensure convenient use of the device in various lighting conditions, even in bright sunlight.
