Furuno DRS4W
The Furuno DRS4W wireless radar is the latest development that allows you to work remotely from a mobile device. With the help of a special iOS app available for iPhone and iPad, users can receive the display of the Furuno DRS4W radar directly on the screens of their smartphones. The user-friendly interface of the application allows you to change the range from 0.125 to 24 nautical miles. The Furuno DRS4W radar is easy to install and has a minimal configuration.
To use the radar, you need to download the Marine Radar app from the Apple App Store. The app is available for free and is compatible with iOS devices (iOS versions 6.1.3, 7.0.4 or higher): iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, iPad 2, 3, 4, mini.
The principle of operation:
- Transmission of echo signals from a radar sensor to an iPad or iPhone in the 2.4GHz radio frequency range.
- Echo signals are displayed in yellow or green, or in multi-color mode (red, yellow and green) depending on their power (strong, medium, weak).
- 14 radar range scales from 0.125 to 24 nautical miles.
- Adjust the brightness of the screen according to the light conditions.
- The ability to simultaneously connect up to two iOS devices to the radar sensor.
- Stretching of echo signals in radial and/or azimuthal directions.
- Automatic adjustment of suppression of interference from the sea (reflections from waves), amplification, noise filter and radar interference.
- The function of shifting the label of your ship from the center of the screen to view the area ahead or around the ship without losing data about your location.
- Self-testing to check the operability of the radar sensor.
- Furuno DRS4W is a wireless radar with an interface for connecting to an external display device with the iOS operating system. The absence of additional devices greatly simplifies and reduces the cost of equipment.
