The intrinsically safe portable radio IC-GM1600R - designed for rescue vessels. Meets the requirements of the IMO Resolution A.694 (17) /A.809 (19) /MSC.149 (77). Certified by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. It has marking of explosion 1ExibllBT5 X.
 
Durable and robust housing is resistant to harsh environmental conditions, vibrations, damage and severe temperature changes. Immersion in water up to 1 meter does not affect the radio specifications. IC-GM1600R low temperature resistant due lithium battery. In the event of an emergency, the crew can use the BP-234 battery alarm. It provides battery life up to 8 hours.
 
For convenience, the IC-GM1600R operation is equipped with large front panel control buttons. High-intensity LCD display provides a clear reproduction of the information at any angle. The LED indicates the working status of the transceiver. The radio is equipped with a function of rapid access to emergency channel 16.
