Intellian, the world leader in mobile satellite antenna systems, this week launched the latest model in its new VSAT range of antennas, providing better performance and low life cycle costs.

The V130NX is the world's first convertible VSAT Ku-Ka terminal with a 1.25 meter reflector, making it an ideal platform for high-speed global Internet on ships and superyachts.

The V130NX is a flexible system supporting Ku-band and Ka-band (2.5 GHz) networks. It is also compatible with the constellations GEO (geostationary Earth orbit), MEO (mid-earth orbit) and LEO (low-earth orbit). As with all NX-series antennas, the v130NX is easily converted from Ku-band to Ka-band by changing the radio frequency (RF) assembly and feed, since the reflector and fairing are already optimized for operation in both frequency bands.

The V130NX features a highly efficient design and powerful BUC options with power up to 40 W, which allows it today to provide the highest RF performance among all 1.25-meter systems on the market. Its intelligent satellite handover capability (using its built-in intermediary and orbit tracking skill) provides uninterrupted network service on almost any satellite, which satisfies the need to increase stability, reliability and redundancy by reducing the cost of switching to future GEO HTS and MEO and LEO networks low latency.

At the same time, unsurpassed performance and unique features define the user interface of the NX series, as with all NX series antennas. The V130NX is easy to install, commission and operate. It uses a single cable that combines the power of Tx, Rx and DC. The new AptusNX interface allows the antenna to connect to any network in minutes and provides remote access for ease of operation and maintenance. The NX Series also features an ultra-modern modular design that lowers the cost of ownership throughout the life cycle. This increases reliability and can speed up maintenance and further reduce costs by reducing the required spare parts by 40%.

Intellian will also launch a new concept for a suitable dome at the METSTRADE 2019 in Amsterdam this week. Thanks to this, yachts with NX-series antennas of any size can now integrate exactly the same dome into their Intellian antennas for satellite television, providing excellent aesthetic symmetry no matter which Intellian antennas are chosen for entertainment and operation.
