System Sound reception
System Sound reception provides reception of external sound signals from all directions in the frequency range 70 - 820 Hz, the transmission of signals in the wheelhouse, indicating the direction to the source of sound signals.
The system receiving the external audio signal is an electronic acoustic means enabling the watch, which is located inside a fully enclosed flying bridge, listen to external audible signals marine sound-signaling devices (ship sirens, Typhon, horns, whistles), define them the current state and the maneuvers surrounding the vessels, as well as indicator areas to assess their approximate location.
The system, in addition to other navigation systems, allowing in limited visibility (fog, bad weather, night time, etc..) To perform the function of "continuous conduct of each vessel proper visual and auditory observation" for the navigation environment, in accordance with the "On Convention international
Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea ", 1972 (COLREG 72 / COLREG-72).
