Parachute disaster rocket "COMET" - designed to provide a light distress signal to locate an object with poor visibility. To send a signal, it is necessary to launch a parachute rocket, which takes off to a height of 300 meters and falls for at least 40 seconds. A sealed waterproof enclosure contains a brief instruction for use.

In accordance with the requirements of SOLAS it is necessary to have 12 parachute rockets on the ship, as well as 4 pieces should be in life rafts and boats.
