Valcom TLA (two-point level indicator)
The TLA sensor is designed to control the level of any liquid products in tanks and tanks of any type. The main applications of sensors are shipbuilding and transportation of liquid cargo, oil and gas sector, military-industrial complex, also in food, chemical and other industries.
Design and principle of operation of level switches:
-
The TLA sensor includes a housing, an acoustic waveguide, a mounting flange / threaded bracket and an extension. The waveguide consists of two fixed rods, the length of which is determined by the customer.
-
According to the requirements of classification societies, the sensor is equipped with two check buttons before loading.
-
In the delivery set is a flexible metal hose with a length of 0.5 m for connecting to the metal pipe cable routes on the deck.
The principle of the signaling device is the use of features
propagation of ultrasonic waves in a metal rod. At the end of the waveguide, a piezoelectric transducer is installed, exciting it pulses that propagate along the waveguide in the form of acoustic waves. When the surface of the sensitive zone is in contact with the liquid, the acoustic vibrations are damped (absorbed) and the duration of the reflected pulses sharply decreases. This locks the electronic unit, which changes the value of the output current or the status of the relay output contacts. The alarm is triggered by contact with the liquid only in the sensitive area.
