Unicont ADPC- 101 - is an analog to digital signal converter gyrocompass and log . This device is mounted on ships with gyrocompass and lags are not able to issue the current values in the NMEA-0183 format (IEC- 61162 ) navigation equipment that uses information about the course and speed in digital form . The product can be installed on ships due to their re-equipment of automatic identification system and act as a coupling device between the joists and compasses obsolete models .
 
Unicont ADPC- 101 is required for the following functions :
 
  • Acceptance of the current value of the course, from the gyrocompass with the synchro or stepper interface ;
  • Acceptance of the current value of the speed of the lags with stepper interface or on the 'closing ' contact ;
  • Indication of the current speed and course on the built-in display ;
  • Converting the data in NMEA- 0183 format (IEC- 61162 );
  • Transfer the converted values of the course and speed, and the speed of rotation of the vessel via a standard interface ( RS-232 and RS-422/485) external devices in NMEA-0183 format (IEC- 61162 ) .
Modes of operation of the device is easily configured using the menu options understandable and familiar symbols on the keyboard. The converter has a rugged waterproof metal casing , which can be mounted on the bulkhead inside the premises.

Commissioning is the process of fine-tuning the installed equipment so that it works correctly and performs its functions. They are carried out in stages, starting from the manufacturer's workshop, where important equipment is checked before being sent to the shipyard. These checks carried out by the manufacturer are called Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). They confirm that the equipment was in order when it left the shop.
