Annual survey equipment
Annual survey equipment.
There are 4 areas of GMDSS :
- A1 - within range of shore-based VHF radios with DSC ( about 20-30 miles from the coast station ) .
- A2 - within range of shore-based MF radio installation with DSC + A1 ( about 150 miles ) .
- A3 - within range of Inmarsat + A1 and A2 ( about 70go degrees north and south latitude ) .
- A4 - the remaining area outside areas A1 , A2 and A3 .
Communication and navigation company has approval to verify the equipment on ships from the four classification societies - Russian Maritime Register of Shipping ( RMRS ) , Russian River Register (RRR ), Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd (DNV and GL), Bureau Veritas (BV).
Inspection and testing of radio equipment on board the ship or mobile offshore drilling units and fixed offshore platforms to meet the requirements of SOLAS- 74 (preliminary survey of radio equipment) with the issuance of acts form 220.127.116.11 for RMRS .
Checking the radio and navigation equipment in accordance with the rules and requirements of the Russian River Register with the issuance of acts form of RSI- 1 to PPP.
GMDSS Radio Installation Survey / Check GMDSS equipment ( initial , periodic , Renewable ) , in accordance with the provisions of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 . With the issuance of regulations and forms F440E F441E for GL.
Survey of radio and navigational safety equipment on board with the issuance of acts form of BV.
Examination performed by specialists trained by the leading manufacturers .
To check the equipment uses high-precision and advanced equipment, extending the annual check and calibration.
Annual inspection ARB (EPIRB), SART (SART), AIS (AIS), VHF handheld radio life-saving appliances , batteries GMDSS .
EPIRBs are required in any area swimming GMDSS .
ARB can be of two types - free- pop and pop . Free- pop used on all types of vessels as part of GMDSS equipment . Do not pop the buoys are used as additional or expanding areas of navigation ( for example, from A3 to A4).
Our company has the approval of classification societies and most manufacturers of distress beacons to perform an annual comprehensive inspection of COSPAS -SARSAT . To verify that the devices are used , extending and updating the calibration constants , which ensures high accuracy in the measurement readings . Together with a certificate of inspection issued annual comprehensive listing of ARB test shot showing all data.
Also, we can attempt to replace the battery and the issuance of 5-year certificate shore-based maintenance ( BTO ) COSPAS -SARSAT . This operation is performed in specially equipped premises , which checks integrity and operability of combat and sending a test signal, wherein the removed features and are issued with a certificate on the quinquennial inspection .
Radar transponders are part of the GMDSS search for the vessel in distress or swimming equipment ( raft , boat ) . Defendant triggered when exposed to radiation radar 3 -cm band (X- band) in the range of range of about 8 nautical miles. Each time the received signal from the radar emits a series of respondent response pulses whose frequency varies periodically throughout the frequency range radar. When triggered , the SART first rapidly (within 0.4 ms) range runs then starts relatively slow ( in 7.5 microseconds ) returns to the original frequency.
To check SART uses special equipment that is calibrated and verified annually .
Batteries , providing work SART requires change in time ( in accordance with the manufacturer's label , but not later than every 5 years) .
Automatic Identification System (AIS / AIS).
Marine Automatic Identification System ( AIS) is a system for reporting the location and reporting system of the vessel . It allows you to vessels equipped with AIS to automatically exchange information dynamically and regularly update data on its location , speed, course , etc. (eg , data of the ship ) with aircraft equipped similarly . Location determined by GPS or GLONASS systems and communication between courts exercised in the UHF band ( VHF ) .
Verification of AIS is made annually with devices that measure the output power , receiver sensitivity signal test sending AIS messages receiving and analyzing data about the vessel .
VHF portable radio life-saving appliances
Are on board and provide a link to the VHF (marine) . In case of an emergency backup batteries opened and installed in the station , it is necessary to keep in touch for a long time at the incident .
Checking stations produced annually specialized equipment , calculates the frequency deviation and output power .
Emergency batteries are stored in accordance with the marking the manufacturer, but not longer than 5 years.
Batteries GMDSS .
Batteries are used to provide GMDSS GMDSS equipment power if the main board network. If the ship has Emergency Diesel Generator (ADH ), the duration of the security equipment power should be at least 1 hour if no ADH , the batteries should provide power GMDSS equipment at least 6 hours .
Verification is carried out annually by measuring the residual capacity , density of the electrolyte and conduct a full discharge / charge cycles . It also checks the power transfer system GMDSS main board network to backup . Under the rules of transition should be accompanied by the signal light and sound form .
