Self-igniting buoy for lifebuoy "IRBIS-LSB"   is a self-igniting fire meant to indicate the light of the location of the rescue ring on the water in the dark.

Self-igniting buoy of the rescue ring "IRBIS-LSB" - modifications -01, -02 - a white flashing light, equipped with a bracket and a line. The fire flares at least at least 50 flashes per minute with a luminous intensity of at least 2.0 cd in all directions of the upper hemisphere for at least 2 hours. Continuous operation time is 8 hours. The battery is a lithium battery.

The fire is attached to the circle by the line and is fixed to the bracket. When the circle is thrown, the tied line. Water closes the contacts and the buoy is activated. In the water the fire floats next to the circle, signaling its location with a light signal.

The luminous buoy meets the requirements of the International Code for Life-Saving Appliances, the Rules of the Russian Maritime and River Shipping Registers.
