Boardeq BMHF 150/250 marine PV/HF radio installation is used on ships and vessels for the following purposes:

  • Provision of the following categories of alerts using radiotelephony and digital selective calling (DSC): distress, urgency and safety; transmission of information necessary for ship maintenance; public information exchange.
  • Provision of communication using radiotelephony and a letter printing device, for: disaster alerts, urgency, safety; transmission of data necessary for ship maintenance; public correspondence.
  • Carrying a continuous radio watch with the use of DSC, for rapid response to distress signals.
The emergency alert function allows you to quickly and reliably transmit information about incidents to ships located near the accident site or rescue centers capable of providing assistance. If shortwave radio communication is used, the emergency message is usually transmitted to the rescue center via a shore radio station and then sent to search and rescue services and vessels located near the scene of the accident. Receiving and transmitting messages for the purpose of coordinating search and rescue operations is the exchange of information between the rescue center and the head of search and rescue operations at the scene or the coordinator of surface search in the disaster area. Receiving and sending messages at the accident site are performed on low and short waves at special frequencies allocated for emergency notification and safety needs.
