The JMC DG-500 is a functional and reliable device for determining the current position of the vessel in an automatic manner. It is equipped with a built-in combined 32-channel GPS / GLONASS receiver, a 5.7-inch color LCD with white LED backlight in a waterproof housing. Has a certificate of approval RMRS. Designed for operation on small vessels. The JMC DG-500 displays the indicator on the display and provides the external users with navigation information about:
- modes of operation of the equipment, input and output parameters;
- automatic control and diagnostics of the functioning of equipment, indication of malfunctions;
- providing the mode of vessel movement along a given route, movement along the fairway, anchoring, the function 'Man overboard';
- the ability to specify the route device and waypoints from the keyboard;
- remembering the current coordinates as the coordinates of the waypoint;
- determination of the direction and distance from the current point to any of the waypoints, deviation from the specified route, calculation of the way of travel;
- interfacing to external systems using the NMEA-0183 protocol (IEC 61162);
- issuance of timestamps to consumers;
- reception of RTCM text messages (type 16) of DGPS control and correction stations and DGLONASS

The creation of 12-channel, or parallel, receivers currently produced by Lowrance, Garmin and, more recently, Magellan, this problem has already been resolved.
