Service exchange for SAILOR 6215 VHF DSC Class D

As announced in our partner briefing back in September, the SAILOR 6215 VHF DSC Class D was reaching End of Life.
The reason for this was the introduction of new regulations requiring Class D VHF to now include an internal GNSS capability. The new regulations are explained in ITU-R M.493-14 (09/2015) and ETSI standard: EN301025 (v.2.2.1) of 2017-03. 
The SAILOR 6215 VHF DSC Class D was in the Cobham SATCOM service setup categorized as a product under the Customer Protection Program (CPP). That made sense as long as the radio was available for sale.
We are happy to inform you that even though the regulation has changed, service is still allowed. This means that we will have SAILOR 6215 VHF DSC Class D units available for exchange.
