New IMO requirements to the equipment of oil tankers

On 01.01.2016 takes effect amendment to Annex I of MARPOL 73/78 - MERS.248 IMO resolution (66), which contains new requirements for oil and combined oil tankers fall under the Annex I to VFHGJK 73/78.

 

In accordance with these requirements, the aforementioned court within the deadlines prescribed by resolution, shall be equipped with approved by the Administration of the flag or the PC on its behalf 'Device Control stability' for the operational requirements of the verification of compliance of ships emergency otstoychivosti intact.

 

'The vessel must be equipped with approved devices of the control of stability in the first renewable examination to the IOPP Certificate after 01.01.2016 but not later than 01.01.2021, in accordance with IMO Res. MERS.248 (66).'

 

If the vessel is not engaged on international voyages:

 

'The vessel must be equipped with approved devices of the control of stability during the first ordinary examination for Class on or after 01.01.2016, but not later than 01.01.2021, in accordance with IMO Res. MERS.248 (66)'
