Day of the Navy of Russia

The Day of the Russian Navy, by tradition, will be celebrated on the last Sunday of July ( 07/30/17 ).

The event is celebrated on the basis of the Decree of the President of Russia V.Putin of May 31, 2006 No. 549 “On the establishment of professional holidays and memorable days in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”.

On this day, many commemorative and festive events will be held throughout the country, including parades of ships, military equipment and meetings of veterans. Moreover, some ships hold an “open day”, so those who wish can visit the warships and see them through the eyes of “employees”.

In accordance with the program, the beginning of the celebration will take place at 9.30 am on board the cruiser Aurora, and at 10 pm will end with a festive salute at the Peter and Paul Fortress.
