The WXT-520 is a weather sensor manufactured by Vaisala, it is a compact and lightweight multi-sensor instrument for measuring the most significant meteorological parameters: atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, precipitation, temperature, and wind speed and direction. Each parameter is measured by means of six sensors integrated in the housing:
  • Vaisala WINDCAP ultrasonic sensor - for wind speed and direction
  • Vaisala RAINCAP sensor - for advanced rainfall measurement
  • Sensor Vaisala BAROCAP - for atmospheric pressure
  • Sensor Vaisala THERMOCAP - for temperature
  • Sensor Vaisala HUMICAP - for measuring relative humidity
The Vaisala WXT-520 has compact dimensions, low weight and low power consumption (also works on solar panels). The housing with the mounting kit corresponds to the degree of protection IP66, which completely eliminates the ingress of dust and water into the housing. WXT-520 has high accuracy, mobility, reliability and simple installation (fixed with a single screw).
